Working Globally

Globalization continues to impact our work environments, even if you haven’t worked in another country. Lessons learned from the international experience can be valuable advice, regardless of where you work.

Panelists (SLA members from the USA and Europe) affiliated with prestigious international organizations and multi-national legal and business corporations will talk about their global roles in international librarianship, business, law and knowledge management. Experiences include working in a different country, language requirements, cultural sensitivity with diverse clients, technology solutions, time zone challenges, and managing and training global teams.

Free program co-hosted by SLA NY Global Outreach and Professional Development Committees. For more information about the event, check out this flyer.
